July "New" Home Sales Go to Record Low

Shocker Again?  Sales of newly-built homes have to compete with cheaper "existing" homes, 33% of which were Foreclosures or Short Sales in July.  The "Existing" homes nosedive was announced yesterday.

Public schools existed in 2000 when property tax assessments were 50% what they are today. How did they do it?

Anon, are you talking about the *rate* of property tax? Or the *number* of properties that were taxed?
